Sochi 2014: Jamaica bobsleigh team lose luggage & miss training
While traveling to Europe for the Sochi Winter Olympics, the Jamaican bobsled team lost its luggage. Unfortunately for Jamaica, this caused them to miss their first training session on the Sochi Olympic track. Hopefully, missing the first training session won't put the Jamaican too far behind. Sochi 2014: Gold medalist says gay rights protests make no sense
Svetlana Zhurova, a former speed skating Olympic gold medalist, speaks on the gay rights protests going on in Sochi Russia as the Winter Olympics take place. Knowing of the homosexual athletes competing in the Sochi Winter Olympics, many Russian protesters have gathered in an attempt to make a point. Zhurova states that this protest makes no sense and that the Winter Olympics should not be used as a platform to protest gay rights. (Click here to read more)
Sochi 2014: Doping is Olympic sport's biggest threat
Other than the gay rights protests going on at the Sochi Winter Olympics, drug use seems to be equally as prevalent. According to Sir Craig Reedie, the President of the World Anti-Doping Agency, doping is one of the biggest threats to Olympic sport. Reedie hopes enhanced testing procedures will make Olympic athletes stray away from illegal substances. (Click here to read more)
