New Jerry Falwell Library!

I am an undergraduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Liberty University is not only the largest school in Virginia, but is also the largest Christian University in the world! Home to some of the brightest young Christians this world has ever seen, Liberty continues to grow in numbers every passing year. Along with it's growth in students, Liberty seems to be expanding in architecture. This is evident through new state of the art buildings like the New Jerry Falwell Library named after Founder Jerry Falwell Sr.

This $50 million, 170,000 square foot library is just one of Liberty University's new investments. The Jerry Falwell Library's cool features include:

1) Its interactive 24x11 foot media wall equipped with Microsoft Kinect movement recognition technology.

2) Its location right behind the main scholastic Demoss building on University Blvd.

3) Its food court including, of course, a Starbucks for students to quickly grab coffee before or in between classes or to stay up working on studies.

4) The building's Jeffersonian architectural design.

5) The built in two-story reading room.

6) The state of the art Perspective Pixel Tables (Oversized Tablets).

7) Distinct quiet rooms designated for different forms of study.

8) The fourth floor terrace overlooking a man made lake.

9) A technology commons with most of the 160 computers located throughout the building.

10) And the most distinct feature of this library is an Automated Storage and Retrieval System, a robotic book delivery system with the capacity for 420,000 items.
